    Hi All

I am thinking of getting a new Coffee Machine (Have the De'Longhi Caffe Corso at the minute). I cant spring for a Sage, just don't have that cash.

The Breville Barista Max is €350 on Currys at the minute.

As an FYI, this is not the same as Sage. In the UK/Ireland they are separate brands, this is basically a Sunbeam Barista Max.

Has anyone got one or used one before, looking for what peoples thoughts are

I toyed with this idea for some time before eventually buying the Sage Barista Express. The Breville looks good, very similar design, and possibly functions quite similar - but I just couldn't find a lot of information about it online which ultimately swayed my decision against it. Thinking more about long-term ownership of the machine, or depending on how deep down the rabbit hole you end up going the Sage can be modified/upgraded easily with a lot of user guides out there.

That said, I haven't done anything to mine but it's nice to know there is a bit more of a community out there around the machine. I got mine off velo, which came with a few bags of coffee and was around the €500 price tag with a new customer discount... might be worth looking into.

Thanks for getting back to me.

I think I might go for it, the €350 is just at my absolute limit if I am honest. And I fear the Sage would be lost on me, I dont know if I would have the time or the patience that is needed at times for a simple Americano😀

I don't think this machine is going to be easier to use, it's essentially a copy of the barista express but it's hard to find any real reviews on the grinder, in that case, you may want to stick with a more traditional bean to cup machine? This will still require the same faffing as the sage stuff when it comes to dialling in a new bean and all the rest of that lovely stuff :)
