Looking for something similar myself, and we are considering booking a lodge in Sanguli.

Prices are good, plenty of space in the lodges and lots for the kids to do.

Don't think Aer lingus fly to Reus but Barcelona I believe is not a far drive.

About an hour's drive. Not only that but you avoid Barcelona city too

On Fuerteventura there is a resort called Caleta de Fuste,, it is, €12 in a taxi from the airport and takes just 10 minutes.

Booking have some well placed apartments at really nice prices.

    Well worth a look.

I have never stayed in that site but I have gone past it often and it is very popular. I have stayed in that area for several years at both Castell Montgri and (mainly) Cypsela Resort and I would highly recommend either.

And rather than flying from Barcelona I always go to Girona, leaving only a handy rural 40 minute drive to your destination.

Also worth noting that the tolls were removed from the AP7 motorway last September, so free motorway from France to Tarragona

Sanguli and the adjacent Cambrils park are supposedly fab but always mental money.

We've stayed in La Siesta Salou before which was half the price of the two above.

Short walk from beach/main road & easily accessible from BCN airport via public transport. No idea what availability is like as it's a relatively small site but the do have (or used to have) nearby apartments as well.

Close to Portaventura & Ferrariland also
