    Hi,

What number should I set the trv valves on my radiators? I have all new rads, and all of them have trv valves. I currently have them set fully at 5 and they get nice and hot,

I have set the trv valves in the bedroom to 3 and they are pretty much cold at that,

    cheers

Don't mind too much about the numbers or the temperature of the rad to touch.

Pick a midway point. Leave it a couple of hours (or days if getting closest comfort point). Room will either be too cold, too hot or comfortable. Adjust accordingly.

    ok thanks,

i had the heating on for 3hours with the try set at 3 and the rad was cold? i though 3 would of been somewhat of a medium heat?

Doesn’t matter what they’re set to if there’s a woman in the house. Sooner or later they’re all gonna end up on 5 with her saying “they’re not as hot as they used to be”

When adjusting them, make sure there is a call for heat in the areas that you are adjusting. No point in trying to adjust if the boiler isn't running.
