Hansen made Conway look slow there

    good tackle

Two very good tackles by Hansen to deny Conway in the last 15 mins to be fair to him

This approach was absent against castres. Constant try line pressure that will yield dividend.

Munster trying their best not to score here

  • Registered Users Posts: 9,630 ✭✭✭nerd69

What are you talking about their making connacht repeatedly infringe to stop them second yellow coming here

    That's just ugly.

    Munster playing like Leicester

    No game out wide

Connacht, when they got their timing right, won a lot of those collisions.

Munster are guilty of playing stupid rugby and failing to manufacture space against a 14 man defence. They're poorly coached.

Very illegal defence by Connacht for all that but they made the big play when it mattered. We had static one-out runners. If Murray was as slow as Casey at getting the ball away there'd be howls on here.

is this his third final warning for not getting involved in shennanigans?

  • Registered Users Posts: 3,888 ✭✭✭TRC10

That would be great if the objective was to get penalties. But it's not, the objective is to score points. And Munster never actually looked like they might score there.

Brilliant by Connacht, very disappointing that Munster couldn’t create anything 5m out with an extra man for 5 mins.

Never a penalty, the Munster player was pushed to the ground by the Connacht tackler doing that over exaggerated release.

Connacht getting another warning whilst in a yellow is pathetic from the officials. The yellow is the warning.

Perfect time for a turnover pen

    Munster playing van Graan rugby

The two blocked kicks almost cost Connacht two tries and a yellow card. Really gave Munster an entry into a match they weren’t doing much in.

Good that hands on the ground in front of the hind foot being picked up.

  • Registered Users Posts: 7,963 ✭✭✭connachta

    Punished

    Great

Munster demonstrating exactly why JVG going is not a bad thing

  • Registered Users Posts: 17,300 ✭✭✭✭razorblunt

It was puke rugby, Casey pushed off it by JoD when the backs were calling for it. JOD hers knocked back easily in his carry then.

This ref seems to love "final final final" warnings

  • Registered Users Posts: 9,630 ✭✭✭nerd69

It looked like they scored twice to me tbh they where thay close. The mistake was spinning it to first receiver. Connacht had to infringe to stop them more pick and drives would have seen them down to 13 and a try most likely

Munster should’ve taken the 3 on the 6th penalty in that phase. They were getting nowhere and it was clear ref wasn’t going to give a 2nd yellow no matter how many further infringements took place.

  • Registered Users Posts: 11,105 ✭✭✭✭Burkie1203

Of they could have tried to play some rugby and score

  • Registered Users Posts: 8,454 ✭✭✭lawrencesummers

The bit of niggle is great to see all the same, but munster have no interest in playing rugby, they just want to be more bok than the boks themselves.

  • Registered Users Posts: 16,632 ✭✭✭✭Clegg

Munsters outside backs have been wasted for years. They were an afterthought during those give minutes parked on Connacht's line. They got it twice, but both times it was when Conn were actually numbered up in defence. Crying out for the ball, but the forwards hog it, actually lose their one on one battles, then turn it over.

How fast is Andrew Conway? Obviously he’s got good top end speed but when he was coming through I was always of the impression that was his big asset. I was quite surprised to see him get burnt on a chase back by Stuart Hogg at RWC2019 and would have expected him to get in ahead of Hansen for that chance he had.

It's actually embarrassing just how bad the standard of a game between two Irish provinces is.

    It's like watching a J3s club game.

Kicked off again as they were running off or half time.

  • Registered Users Posts: 24,302 ✭✭✭✭breezy1985

They tried to play but couldn't because Connacht were offside about 50 times there at the end

  • Registered Users Posts: 17,300 ✭✭✭✭razorblunt

Munster really have resorted to JvG ball, one man out, standing start stuff. They carried so intelligently against Wasps, skipping the first receiver entirely or shipping it on early to make the defensive back line shift.

JvG is back in town and it’s all thrown out the window, unlike the ball.

Fair play to the referee. There was a scrap after the HT whistle and he bins the two instigators.
