Hi lads have a trip to Venice booked end of January but unfortunately our outbound flight was changed to the following day which doesn't suit. Ryanair gave me 3 options and one of them was a full refund.

I went for the refund but my question is will I be refunded for the whole trip? As in outbound and return flights? It would be no good to me obviously if it was only the outbound flight.

Also are they really refunding within 5 days?

    Thanks

Did you book the outward and return at the same time with the same booking reference? Then logically, you would be refunded both legs.As for refunding within 5 days.Do not hold your breath.Although this is the season of miracles.Micko doesn't do miracles though.5 weeks/5 months a better estimate.

    I'm in a similar position.

My reading of the reg is the same: if the return trip is part of the one booking then you're entitled to a refund of both.

    If booked separately, then no.

The email from Ryanair should mention your options. Did they include a ref to your rights under eu261? If not, Google them to see if it applies.

You should start asking Ryanair for a full refund asap.I think there is some rule about a certain time period within which an airline can change flight times without compo.Maybe someone onsite will respond

    there are 2 options:

1 - Accept the morning flight

2 - Change the flight to a day before or after free of charge

    no mention of eu261

I’d assume if you booked return you are likely to get full refund; Best option would be to call Ryanair and ask.

Yeah they're both the same booking so hopefully I'll get both refunds then, when I'll get it is another thing customer care said within ten working days but I'm not holding my breath. Thanks

Ryanair seem to be simply cancelling a rake of flights from 9th Jan to the start of Feb it seems presumably due to low numbers of people travelling after the usual New Year rush.

Had them cancel a certain days Cork-Gatwick flight, which is a daily flight, and email me calling it a 'flight change' where they notified me the flight had been 'moved' to the next day (a totally different flight number)

Managed to get a refund but... Absolute chancers!

Yeah that's exactly what happened me. Hopefully won't happen again. I got the refund fairly quickly in the end in fairness to them
