I’m eligible for a grant to have my house insulated on the outside. The rep from the company that will carry out the work has said that they can wrap the part of the house built in the 1970’s but the old part, built pre 1900, cannot be wrapped. There would be a 4 inch difference between wrapped walls & unwrapped walls. He says that they’ve done that to other houses but hasn’t shown me photos of houses finished like this. I can’t imagine that it would look well. Can anyone advise me on this please.
