Thread is to see how well I can do trying to pick short-priced losers (will try keep picks at <5/1)

#picking short-priced ones, but it still may be fairly priced..

Will give an opinion here and there if I think I see something that looks to have a poor chance/poor value..

Will put up 'best price atm' (with the 'bookies' - ie those going ew + win , and not the exchanges)

As many picks as I like - no time limit...

2.20 Navan Frontal Assault 5./1 Busselton 9/2

I think Frontal Assault might want further or softer ground... Busselton could be vulnerable if trying to lead, as the fav Ciel De Neige can lead too, and the pace might make Busselton make an error or three. I think Ciel De Neige wins, but is a bit too short to back at 6/5 top price. Looks a 7/4 shot to me, but he's only had the one chase outing, and the form of that race can't be faulted. Wouldn't be a layer of the fav cos I think he just wins, and the next two (at the top) appear very fairly priced, so they're not lay propositions either..

4.20 Newcastle Velazquez BP 11/8 with 365

Has had 4 goes without winning. Most are going between 10/11 and 11/10 atm,, 11/8 looks about right.. I think the second favourite Quick Change has more to offer, and looks to have the beating of Velazquez.. At 6/5 or shorter, Velazquez looks a lay bet to me..

4.50 Newcastle Al Qareem Best Price 5/4 with a few books..

Worth a lay at 6/4 or shorter. A newcomer may well beat him; regardless his 4th and 2nd placings at Kempton over a mile most recently, and 7 furlongs on his first run, shouldn't see him as short as he is for this.

7.00 Wolves KENSTONE 5/2 best price

Looks overbet and more of a 4/1 shot to me. Was unlucky lto over C & D. Think he wants further than 7f anyhow. Getting close to a lay price. Would be laying him for 3 places if I was on the machines..
