    Given the UDA involvement, intriguing that a suspect was apparently living unmolested in the Republic for so many years.

    Nevertheless the fact that our authorities are continuing to pursue such cases, as opposed to the current UK government approach of sweeping it all under the carpet, should be welcomed.

    Another report said they arrested him as he crossed the border from Derry.





  • I always take a small bit of joy out of these reports and cases like them.

    just to be clear as crystal— NOT because someone was killed, but you have to expect this guy (if guilty) has been living life thinking he’s gotten away with murder, literally.

    then one day after mass you step out and the garda are waiting for you. :’)

    Agree but doubt if it was a mass he was attending. More likely a church service.

    I see he was released, probably sat and said no comment to every question. Hard to see how he will be convicted unless there is some solid new evidence.
