Is there a limit for how much can be spent on gifts ? And are there restrictions on the type of gifts ? I assume that the costs are all subject to corporation tax.

There is no specific restriction on value mentioned by Revenue. Any amount spent on gifts for customers/suppliers is not allowed to be deducted in arriving at taxable profits for Corporation Tax.
