Adding zonal control to HW cylinder

So have oil fired system which heats all radiators and also a cylinder in hot press area. The system used to have multistove removed about 3years ago. Cylinder is preinsulated relatively new but thinking on ways to make some efficiencies over entire setup. Added magnaclean ,flushed system and added trvs to all rads.

But now thinking of a zonal control on the cylinder. Attached rudimentary drawing of HW setup. There is a pump here which never activates I believe was there for the multistove which was on the other side of adjacent wall. I'm wondering can remove the pump there and add a zone valve and tank thermostat. Object to cut off the tank from pulling water in when it's at temperature.

    Or should valve be elsewhere

Doing further research its better to two, one on the tank hot feed and one on the radiator hot feed. For control of hot water and radiators. Adjusting leaving the vent neutral to either valve.

    Thoughts?
