Opening bank account

    Hi I am South African citizen and I would like to open an offshore account (current) in Ireland. I wanted to find out if as non citizen can I open an account with your bank of Ireland. This is just to protect my assets and for diversification from South Africa. Please advise of what I need to do in order to open account. Thanks Sibusiso Gumede

    Hi there

    Thanks for getting in touch with us.

    To open a non resident account with us you would need to have a financial tie with Ireland such as receiving a salary, pension, inheritance, etc. here in Ireland or else be planning on moving here in the next 6 months
