    Hi

we have been told that in order to move our boiler under the stairs we need to line it with fireproof panels - would anyone know exactly what these are as we could try ourselves if we knew what to buy

    Thank you

15mm fire rated plasterboard. Two layers of that (with staggered joints and with plaster skim finish) will give 1 hour fire protection.

You may now be creating a place of special fire risk under the stairs.

Along with the above, you may also need to enclose the boiler in a fire proof enclosure to prevent the escape route being comprimised in the event of a fire.

This may mean fire rated walls and a fire door to the under side of the stairs.

    Dont forget CO detection too.

Is there anywhere else it can go?
