    What is the role of a staff officer in a county council? Can anyone explain a "normal" day? Tks

    Can be very varied depending on what section you are in but generally speaking you would be responsible for a variety of different programmes and budgets, managing supplier contracts, dealing with queries from the public if the front desk can’t answer them etc. You could also have several staff reporting to you.
