Pressure washer unloader valve

Not sure if this is the right place So I gave my brother in-law a loan of my washer today, he left it running while moving stuff in the yard and came back to the washer to find the unloader valve had blow out, I can't get it fitted now it keeps blowing out when the pressure comes on, is there a knack to fitting it or is it…

So I gave my brother in-law a loan of my washer today, he left it running while moving stuff in the yard and came back to the washer to find the unloader valve had blow out, I can't get it fitted now it keeps blowing out when the pressure comes on, is there a knack to fitting it or is it knackered
