    During probation period of 6 months, should you be paid irish minimum wage or apprenticeship wage (which is less).

    You aren't an apprentice until you've been registered as one with Solas but in practice this is widely abused by electrical companies so they can pay their first year's a pittance for much longer.

    You are also supposed to be registered as an apprentice as soon as you join the company but that rarely happens either.
