German wasp maybe? Large specimen.

I regularly get these wasps in the house coming in on logs for the fire.
I think they’re German wasps but the size is much larger than I’d expect for a German wasp, 20-30mm. Pretty noisy buzzing around the sitting room!

That’s what I first thought but we’re getting probably 1 a week so I think that makes it unlikely.
