Best Weed Killer For Cobblelock

Hi,

I have a year-round issue with weeds in my cobblelock.

It is mostly a moss-type growth and also what looks like clusters of tiny shamrocks.

There are other weeds as well, but above is the most problematic.

What is best weed killer from your experience

Cheap biological washing powder from Lidl gets rid of the moss.

Washing powder as above will deal with the moss, but you may also have to strip out some of the sand between the joints and replace it. Don't ever power wash it.

You'll strip out all the jointing sand and destabilise the brick work and joints. I've been told the same thing by several reputed paving contractors.

Power washing is great for bringing it back, colour wise but as previously stated you will wash all the sand out, and will have to buy bags of that fine sand to brush back in. Its a filthy job too, feckin dirty sand splashing everywhere.
