Dual flow kitchen tap issue

Hi, I have a dual flow kitchen tap that has a problem (see attached). I'll try switching off the hot tap and just at the point of water stopping flowing, it slips back to full open and you have to close it all over again... Its a fine balance to have the water stop flowing. Any ideas, I've zero plumbing experience, could this be a washer or a complete cartridge replacement, or something else?

You will have to take it apart and see. We live in a throw-away society, so that washer may or may not be available depending on the design
