What are people taking to keep their energy up with long hours of training or even just in general ,

    protein shakes after workouts ? multivits ? , Iron ?, Magnesium ?

someone recommended vitamin e to me before , supposedly good for dealing with inflammation, i cant say i noticed a huge difference,

or is eating well and keeping the junk to a minimum as good as anything else,

lining up to go into long distance training after christmas and just curious what people are doing,

Eating well and cutting the junk is a big part but there are always things we can be short on. It is probably a bit individual as your diet vaires but personally I don't eat any fish and little red meat so I top up on the missing minerals and vitamins. I take a multivitamin that's NOT got 1000% of my RDA of things, a krill oil suppliment and for inflamation when Im training heavy I take curcumin too.

I tried tart cherry extract but didnt find much benefit.

I try when I can to time workouts so that I have a protein heavy meal afterwards but when thats not possible I do take protein shakes.

I’m prone to tendonopathy in a few places and keeping the inflammation down can help.
