O'Callaghan have three hotels in a very small geographical area, they are sending customers to the Alexander instead while there's less business around with the Mont(clare) and Davenport still closed.

Then they need to take down the plaque on front of hotel... its not "O'Callaghan Collection"

if they only have one hotel.

Covid 19 is what is up.

Most hotels in Dublin are only ticking over.

I'm sure they've bigger things to be worrying about in the current trading climate, quite frankly.

Ah I remember my 21st in the Mont Clare hotel a few (ahem) years ago. They are all very close together (Alexander, Davenport and Mont Clare) so it makes sense that they only open one if that is all that they need.

And I remember working there when it first opened.... much more than "a few" years ago !

Great curry at the Mont Clare disco there back in the day. I suppose having a curry included in the admission price dates me to some time in the 1990s!

They've just applied for permission for outdoor seating so they're intending to reopen anyway

They were heavy on the US tourist groups.

I predict 50 EUR room offers.
