Covid query for USA passport holder when returning to the US

Hello

Have a family member with a US passport flying to Ireland this weekend. On his return flight back to the US, does anyone know if they need to take a full Covid test or will a Rapid-Anti Gen test do?

Or do they need to take a test once they have proof of vacanation?

Going around in circles trying to find out exactly what they need to do.

Copying my reply from other thread:

Everyone traveling to US regardless of citizenship or vaccination status requires a negative PCR or Antigen test taken within 3 days before departure. There are few exceptions, like kids under 2, US military and if you recovered from Covid 3 months max prior to departure date.

Looks to me like boots one will work, the randox one from Dublin airport definitely works.
