Looking to fit set of new tyres on the wheels, have them all balanced and checked for alignment - best place that wont mark the alloys ? (as it happened in the past)...

Discount tyres in Blanchardstown are very good, been dealing with them for years and never had a problem.

Does anyone know what *1 in tyre marking means ? (* marked are bmw approved but what is *1) ?

Maybe provide a link or explain the context, but in general *1 usually means that there's a footnote below that gives some information about the item that has *1 beside it. So it's not a tyre specification, it's just drawing your attention to the fact that they're saying that these tyres are BMW approved.

I asked pirelli's customer service and I was told this, regarding the *1 marking:

"I can confirm that the *1 means that the tyre has a more lower rolling resistance which means that the tyre can roll longer before the resistance makes the tyre come to a stop. "
