    Anybody else finding that to contribute here across a few preferred topics difficult compared to the old boards ?


    I know that it includes a wider range, but plumbing & heating was my main location.

    And I find it difficult, will boards.ie get easier or is this the final solution ?

    If not, I'm out.

    Hi Tom. Yours is one of many such observations. The discussions in the mod forums is also along a similar vein. So it seems most people are unhappy with this new interface.

    My conclusion -from reading most of it- is that the migration isn't going really according to plan, but that they are working on fixing it, with very limited staff. So I think we are talking months rather than weeks to get it back to close to what it was.

    Some people seemed to have dropped out, but lots more have taken a wait and see approach.

    I like boards and I will hang on in there and hope that it will eventually become more useable. I've personally learned a lot from being part of the community, so I hope that knowledgable people like yourself remain in the long term.

    There is nothing more I can add to reply to your question, but perhaps I should at least repost any of the limited updates that I come across here on the P&H forum, as there are probably lots of users here that do not read forums such as feedback etc.

    I struggle with it. I miss the red notification letting me know someone is talking on a thread Im using. I'm getting way too many emails & "My Forums" only works for one page. When you try to see older posts you get "discussions" page two, three etc rather than more pages of "my forum". The bell at the top of the page won't let me mark "all as read". Maybe it's just me but I don't think there is anywhere a many Plumbing questions popping up as before the upgrade. It's harder to quote sections of someones post. It's still very difficult to use on phone or tablet. Having said all of that some improvements are brilliant. The old sits had problems wit €, % etc. I'd end typing Euro, percent etc. Photos are easier to post & there is a better selection of these: 😎
