Noisy Air Vent

I recently got a new wall vent installed as part of an insulation upgrade on my house. It's in the sitting room, the issue I have is that it is so noisy. I can clearly the neighbours kids playing outside, traffic noise from nearby busy road, wind etc. Previously there was no vent in this room so we could hear no outside noise whatsoever so it's a big change and a little annoying. I'm just wondering if anybody knows of a way to reduce the noise coming from outside without having to block the vent?

    Thanks.

I have the same problem and saw online you can make a sort of maze from sound proof tiles between the two vent covers. So I got some tiles from Amazon for 20 quid. Sort of similar to what's going on in the link above but contained within the wall. And I'd hope even more soundproofing due to the softer materials.

But I've been lazy and not gotten any further than purchasing the tiles!

As an update I took the cover off the vent with the intention of putting the tiles into the vent but mine isn't properly formed at all. More like someone pushed their arm through concrete before it set. So I may have to go with the Black Hole option!
