Parental leave before 1 years service

Hello
i was just wondering if anyone knows if it’s possible to get 1 day a week parental leave . I see some things online saying you have to be with an employer for a year. Recently got job with hse and I’m wondering will I definitely have to wait the year.? With my other employer 5 years.

I vaguely recall my wife looking into this before also with the HSE and I think you had to take all your parental leave in one block you couldn't take it one day a week.
