SAORSAT SIGNAL affected by windfarm and only TRIAX KA SAT LNB WORKS but they are scarce!

Has anyone come across a situation where reception of SAORSAT is adversely affected by a windfarm and they only way to overcome this is to use the TRIAX KA SAT twin lnb as that has a filter and the more popular RT INVERTO twin does not and will not work?

In such instances would SAORSAT not be obliged to find a solution?

I checked on availability of those 2 KA SAT lnb's and they are are scarce as hens teeth and price has shot up. I am not sure even if they are manufactured anymore?

Are there any other KA SAT lnbs that could be tested?

Have you contacted RTE or 2rn, they were telling viewers outside the coverage of a transmitter to go the Saorsat route back in 2012.

Presumably, given how specific your scenario is, someone near a windfarm replaced an Inverto LNBF with a Triax LNBF and their Saorsat reception started working again?

Did they check whether the Inverto was actually fully working or not?

Apparently its 12 houses affected. After a bit of digging I found mention that the Triax has a filter.

To me it seems unlikely the turbines themselves could affect satellite, as opposed to terrestrial, signals. But perhaps there is 20GHz link co-located with the windfarm (e.g. used for monitoring)?

The Inverto has filters as well, but maybe they're not as effective as the Triax?

Hi Swoofer, I have an never used Inverto Ka LNB somewhere, still in its original box, if you want to try that. You are welcome to try it if you want ? Maybe I will try to privately message you on boards, if I can figure that out. :)

I can have a check at work to see if we have any Triax Ka-band LNB's in the store.

I think there might only be Inverto's but no harm having a look.
