Searching for satellite signal - do I need a new freesat box or new Lnb?

    Hi all,

I have just moved to a different location in my town. There was a sky connection in this house (I think a Sky Q box judging from the old empty box I found).

I have plugged in my Humax Free sat box, and tried to connect but its searching for the satellite signal and also says postcode invalid (I've tried several).

The box hasn't been used in a year but I assume this is a bigger issue (I have factory reset the box to be sure).

Anyone any ideas as to whether its my box is too old now, or if the LNB should be changed? Thanks!

A sky q box should be returned, look at the LNB and if it only has 2 outputs its a sky q one and will not work, but if it has more than 2 then its a legacy lnb. However, it may be necessary to use the legacy outputs rather than the ones used for the sky q box.

Thanks, I'll need a new LNB so perhaps as there are only 2 outputs. The Sky Q box went with the previous tenant.
