Show that followed Adrian Kennedy phoneshow in the late '90s

In the late 90s/early 00s, the Adrian Kennedy Phoneshow on FM104 used to run until 1am. There was another show afterwards that ran until 2am (maybe later) that was a bit odd:

It was a bit like another phone-in show, but it was always the same people ringing up, clearly in character - I'm not sure the show asked for ordinary callers, just these sort of comedians. The presenter was a slightly older man, who had that classic DJ manner of speaking, similar to Tony Fenton.

I'm certain that this show ran in this format for at least a couple of years - does anyone else remember it, and perhaps know the name of the DJ?

Meanwhile Jeremy is producer on Classic Hits breakfast.

I've often wondered are there some sort of industry panel of plants you can draw upon - the likes of Jude and Zultan would crop up on all the phone-in shows over the years, Jude is still a regular on Niall Boylan.

He's doing fill-in work on that show. He's back in news doing evening/weekend shifts on Newstalk and their network feed also.

Was in news before he ever did the Phoneshow.

Absolutely loved that show, real anarchic radio that just doesn't exist anymore. Tony the Monkey Child, Mary Schocolates, it was class.

There's some of it up on YouTube.

Correct about the plants. Yer wan Lisa is a 100% a plant. They did the same thing when they moved to 98fm. Lisa was calling in every week. Eventually listeners started commenting on her being a plant and surprise surprise she disappeared.

No doubt they do it to drum up interest and once they gain a following they’ll drop her. I wonder are they making much from the podcast?
