    quick question maybe someone might know, im on ritalin about a week now, a very low dose, 5mg, i feel a bit stoned on it when i take it, does this feeling go away as tollerance builds?

    Paradoxical effect.

    i.e. opposite of what you'd expect being a stimulant.

    Drugs used to treat anxiety like benzo's make me crazy with anxiety as an example.

    I believe it's relative to pre-disposed (or pre-drug developed) neural state.

    ADHD patients = stimulants do have a calming effect, cause they're pre-disposition is to be "wired", per se;

    No idea about tolerance etc but typical "euphoric" dose of ritalin is considered 20 mg+ so 5 mg is low.
