Cost of 2nd hand door

I have to replace a door on a 2011 Focus so, given the value of the car (€4,500?) I'm going 2nd hand. Anyone any ideas of a fair price? I got one quote of c.€1,200- but that hardly seems worth it (fitting costs to be added). Thanks

Sorry if I wasn't clear, the €1,200- quote was from a car breaker. I'm just trying to gauge if that's a fair price, it feels high, given the value of a roadworthy model. If I thought every door on my car was worth €1,000- I'd be stripping my '07 A3 tomorrow 😀

I wouldn't know average price for a door, but €1200+ sounds mad to me! If you're in Dublin, try Summerhill Spares in Coolock. They will fit parts they supply.

You could just buy this entire car. Keep the door & scrap the rest. The saving should cover the price of respraying the door to match the car

Not sure what the wife would think of turning the place into a scrapyard. 2011 got a new body shape so I won't have to find out. Tx

id have though a door would be more like 250-500euro for a relatively new one,. maybe 100-200 for an older car. make sure you get model correct 3/5 door., if you get same colour it should be a 1-2HR job to fit.
