Kawasaki Versys650

I'm a learner driver and I was looking at the RSA website in regards to vehicle requirements for doing an A category test. It says the bike must be at least 50Kw.

On the list of bikes and what category they belong to, beside the Versys650 it says that it's an A2 license. Am I missing something? As far as I knew the 650 was 50Kw, or am I mistaken?

It's KW and weight ratio. So if it doesn't fit then it's not an A. The DL650 is similarly not A license compatible. But it's same engine brother SV650 is.

Why ? I bought my DL650 used the school bike for the actual test and went back to my DL when done. Wouldn't change the bike it's a superb all rounder .. many bikes with more power that simply couldn't match it frankly.

I figured I could just do that! I suppose it's a non-issue really, just wish I had've copped it in the first place is all.
