Selling Advice - Are prices online realistic?

    Hi,

I'm looking to sell my 2010 Ford Focus (240km). It just passed the NCT and I was offered 1250 from my mechanic however looking online on Donedeal and Facebook people are asking for well over 2000 euro for similar cars and mileage.

My question is are these cars actually selling for these prices or with the current market are people just asking for crazy amounts and having to come down in price? I've already bought a new car so is it just easier to take the cash now and save the hassle of selling privately?

I know it's all personal preference etc, just looking for another opinion.

    Cheers

Mileage slightly on the high side but if mechanically sound I could see it making more than 1250. But weigh it up against the effort and hassle.

Asking prices and selling prices are different, but if want to try get an extra €500 or so it would be worth your while putting it up for €2k or so and see if you get much interest, or try negotiate a bit with your mechanic
