A search of recent threads under the new boards is directing me to the Beef Price 2021 thread over in the farming forum, so apologies if this has been asked already - I had a quick look but not a comprehensive one.

Doing a UK trip in two weeks and probably doing European stuff later this year and early next. All within DFA advice. No winter sports and trips probably booked less than a month in advance based on virus levels.

What do you guys feel the best travel insurance is thesedays? I was with Multitrip but let it lapse in July 2020 as there was no point renewing.

Multitrip looks good but offers absolutely no COVID related claims it seems.

Chill and InsureAndGo seem to offer repatriation costs if you get sick as well as the usual stuff.

What travel insurance have you guys gone for recently? Seems a bit of a COVID minefield recently and before I go and mindlessly book Multitrip again, I wanted to check if there are any better ones out there. I know they are all a nightmare to deal with if something happens but I also did get money back off Multitrip after having to return from a holiday in Australia back in March 2020.

Thanks a mil. Looking to go away end-August at the moment.

VHI Travel insurance are quite good, contrary to what most people think, you don’t have to have an insurance policy with them already. Very reasonably priced and I had absolutely no problem making a claim with them for a cancelled flight. Also, they have free lounge access if your flight is delayed.
