Old LC here is going to struggle with the next DOE, hole in the chassis is the biggest problem of many, thought I'd have a go at plating the chassis before the test. Has anyone on here done it and if so what thickness of steel did you use and did it pass? Thanks.

You would have to match the metal thickness of existing. Is it a commercial, and used as such.

Yes commercial. I took it off the road since and bought a newer tupperware princess. Cills were gone as well, but mechanically everything else is perfect. Going to be a long term restoration project, will lift the body off it and weld the chassis that way. Only 4 years till she's vintage.
