Question about water in dishwasher

Bosch integrated dishwasher working perfectly 20 years so I don’t mind buying a new one if needed. Just wondering if it’s actually a plumbing issue in my house. So I don’t want to buy a new dishwasher only to have it taken out again for a general plumbing job if that makes sense. Anyway, I found a pool of water at the bottom of dishwasher. So I sponged that out, cleaned filters and propeller. Ran a rinse cycle for 35 mins and all ok. However a day later more water so I stopped using dishwasher. However, even though I’ve stopped using it completely now there is a pool of water (off white in colour) at the bottom the day after sponging it out. Any clues or advice appreciated thanks.

A twenty year old dw could leak from many places but the most likely place would be from either the wash pump or emptying pump. Every machine when it has finished emptying still holds about a pint of water that falls back in from the waste hose, this can leak out a faulty seal in either pump as they were constructed different then. pull it out and stick a sheet of newspaper in under it, the leak will drop down directly from the point it is leaking from
