Are solicitors in Ireland required to advise you in advance of their likely service charges?

In the UK, solicitors are required to provide you with rough details of their service charges before they start performing tasks like carrying out probate on wills that you have been appointed as executor on.

Not sure if the same sort of controls apply here? Does anyone know for sure?

It's been a law here in Ireland for decades that they must give a price or educated guess as to costs before starting work.
