    Morning All,

Does any one know how long you need to be in a role with the HSE before qualifying for maternity leave?

There’s no minimum service requirement for maternity leave with the HSE; theoretically you could start on Day 1 and go off on paid maternity leave on Day 2.

I thought there was something like you had to do 12 months first

It would be in the contract.

some places require you to pass your probation before getting Mat leave, Pension etc.

    Id check there first.

You can get leave, ie permission to be away from work from day 1. This is unpaid.

Some places offer some paid leave. They can put whatever conditions they want on this, and some require 12 months service etc.

But I think the HSE give paid leave, with no conditions.
