So what's the story with the Irish Independent and 'Love Island'? Every day there is multiple "stories" on this sh!te on the website.

I have a subscription with all Irish broadsheets but I'm cancelling the indo one next week because i'm extra green in the face seeing 'Love Island' headlines. I don't give a fux what type of smile 'Adam' has.

I don't object to entertainment news, far from it, but ffs this pollutes their site every single day with multiple articles.

What gives? I don't see this obsession in any other outlet not even UK tabloids.

Its obviously doing the numbers for them - all online news sites are heavily view driven these days.

You actually waste money subscribing to the indo?

I suspect you got struck by lighting that week :D :D

Indo has gone further down the gutter route of the daily mail, so its really for those that take their news from Fakebook and believe every bit of crap they read and get roused up by some pisspoor reality show showing kids snogging each other

Thyve an obsession with "personalities" who do **** all except push their "wonderful, magical" personal life and "struggles" so they can try capture the female market while making the normal person feel inadequate

It's on all the tabloid feeds too. It's a obsession for some people. What did I see earlier but some f ker slept outside with a teddy bear, oh his loyalty etc. That was the headline btw. It's all over the place

The Indo, reporting the news that matters as always. I'm going to take a wild guess that its Barry Egan keeping the nation informed on these important developments.

I genuinely don’t understand why threads like

this appear acting as if all the Indo is talking about is Love Island.

The Indo, particularly the Sunday version has turned into an extension of Hello magazine. Its just appalling.

Another thing they do are features on various Celebs, starts off being an alledged interest piece, half way through its promoting some latest hair brained business venture by a wannabe celebrity, former TV presenter or all round irratating former, less than successful model, they should be required to state clearly "Sponsored By or Paid for Advert" at the start of these ghastly features.

How anyone subscribes to this Tripe is beyond me.

Is maith an scáthán súil charad.
