    Hi

Hoping someone would have some knowledge on insuring Sprinter Trueno AE86.

1 - Does anyone know any insurance company(s) that would insure this car as a regular car? So far I have only found Axa who would only insure this as a 2nd car under their classic cover.

2 - Can you put an imported Sprinter Trueno AE86 as a Corolla GT Coupe for insurance?

I am 39 years old, over 10 years no claims so I don't think this should be an issue.

Any advice would be appreciated and thanks.

    1) You have to contact all the insurance companies and brokers to find out. Insurance is a fluid market so a company might insure me on the car today, but if the actuaries think they've too much risk on that model they won't insure you tomorrow.

    2) You can but there's a good chance any claim will be rejected and that's a place you don't want to be.

Can't see why you'd have a problem insuring that.

Try Carole Nash, First Ireland, FBD & Campion Ins. They all have classic car schemes.

I'll look into it, but I'm looking for a company who'd insure it as a regular car rather than classic as having a classic car insurance would be having that as a 2nd car.
