Driving a 2017 qashqai, Aircon lately keeps blowing luke warm air. Checked coolant tank, it's above max level, so was reluctant to add coolant. However it looks like it is just water, no color of coolant etc.

    Any thoughts or suggestions ?

I'm unaware of any connection between coolant and aircon. To me, it sounds like you need to get your aircon system re-gassed, or at least looked at.

These are reckoned to be good and good value.

Same with my fluence, luke warm air, went to halfords the other day and they hook up q gauge to check the pressure of the air condition and it was on the red zone so they cannot re charge it, they told me I have to bring it to the garage, and I am not keen on paying any major repair at the moment just got my fcking brakes changed.

coolant level has got nothing to do with aircon, coolant keeps your engine cool

aircon is a seperate system which needs special aircon gas to work properly

seems like you need a regas or worse case scenario have a leak somewhere maybe a gammy valve, or the condenser itself may need replacing

Thanks all for replies, just to update, I called in to Radfix in Liosbaun, here in Galway. No gas in system but thankfully no leaks either. Full Check over and re-gas be and away I went. Two very experienced lads and all done in an hour.
