Extractor fan flexiflue

    Hey guys!

    Was wondering if anyone knows if its possible to get a hood extractor fan for a domestic kitchen that'd push kitchen air up a flexiflue approx 10m?

    Drilling out another way may not be an option. This may be in fact the only option.

    Any advice/tips welcome.

    I would follow the advice there and use proper ducting, not the flexi stuff.

    talk to the extractor distributor or manufacturer if you can.

    I would be concerned about how this duct will be cleaned. This and other fluid dynamics factors may lead you to using larger ducting

    but should all be possible with a bit of expert input and the right gear.

    We used a flexiflue (its rock solid - not flexible at all).

    Distance is around 9m with one gentle bend at the start and a 45 degree bend a metre up. We used 5' ducting (recommended by manufacturer)...

    We tested it when the flexi guy was on roof and he said it was pumping air but as for the exact science cant be sure.

    Have a Luxair 74 canopy extractor.
