What height (from surface to install septic pump)?

Hello! We have a vertical square concrete chamber, about 5m deep or so, in which we place the submersible septic pump. My question is should I raise it from the base of this chamber, if so at approx what height (that is, near the top by a rope or just off the base itself)?

The reason I ask because we live in a hill and I find water is constantly running into the chamber, consequently the pump is running all the time (has a non-return valve to stop water flowing back into pump from pipe). As a result, every 2 years or so the pump starts to trip the mains switch and has to be replaced, so it's that time of year again!

There's much wiring on the "SIP SUB 2020 SS SUBMERSIBLE WATER PUMP" to raise the float so I'm wondering should I place a stool or something to raise if off the ground ...

If you have ground water constantly running into your chamber and filling it then changing the level at which the pump starts is going to make very little difference.

True :-D I must check this, since no pump is active, but I *think* of a lot of the ground water leaks away anyway (which is why I was thinking to raise the pump out of the water). On other hand it might meed there's a base sludge which never dissipates
