    Hi all,
Took the family for a Sunday drive today and found a little white cross breed poodle type dog at a crossroads north of aughrim co.wicklow,
We were the third car the poor thing tried to get in to,
He tried to get in to two ahead of us followed by chasing them a few yards up the road,

I stopped and got out; we had packed lunches so I gave him half a cold sausage,
He was soaked to the core; so I wrapped him in my jacket and put him on my lap in the car,

I then drove to the nearest house; knocked on the door and explained the above story; asked if it belonged to them and no it wasn't there's but advised me to try the house further down the road,

So I drove to the next house and when I got there; they were looking at me out through there kitchen window and saying "yeah he's here now yeah I'll say that ok"
So when they came to the door I explained the same story of how he was trying to get in to cars on the crossroads ten minutes up the road and that he's got no collar,
They said ow yeah, Jesus he's not injured is he? he's ours anyway, he got out earlier so; just leave him inside the door here and he will be grand thanks.

Bit weird in my opinion; although they were happy to take him and he's not on the road, I have a dog myself and haven't capacity for another one as I like to keep mine insured and well maintained I couldn't afford another one; I was going to bring him to the local dog shelter had they not have taken him as there wasn't another house for miles; poor thing was smaller than a cat with white curly hair; drenched

As a dog lover and owner; I hate to see animals abandoned or loose like that; all it would have taken was a speeding car for him to approach and he would have been struck

Weather or not they actually did own him; I'll never know but they seemed happy enough to take him from me; so I'm led to believe he is now safe in ownership of someone whom cares.

Still strange that he was trying to get in to every car at the junction which was a ten minute walk from his alledged home,
