Hitch for Hyundai I30 Hatchback

I have a Hyundai I30 hatchback new model. I am considering fitting a hitch for the purposes of carrying a bicycle.
What is the best option for getting this done ?
Go through dealer. I know they will be be expensive. I have asked for a price but they have not got back to me yet.
Find independent garage. I rang a few places but they don't do it. I am based the South West so options are limited.
Could I buy a hitch myself and when I do find a place ask them to fit it ?

I would welcome anybody's advice on this.

Where in the Southwest are you?
Google "Towbars cork" and there's several results.
Indespension in Limerick are the largest suppler and fitter of Towbars in the Midwest (they supply and fit Towbars for many main dealers in Limerick).
If buying yourself the best value seems to be on ebay..... a particular Polish company usually have the best prices.

Cheers for that. I am based in Kerry. Not many options here as far as I can see.
Indespension in Limerick look the real deal. They give you an online quote and allow you to Select between universal 7 pin electrics or vehicle specific kit which is over double the price. Quote came to 530. Food for thought.

Its been a while since I was in that business, so I don't know who's still operating.
There was a guy manufacturing trailers just outside Killarney. Google MCH trailers and you should get a number for him.
He should know who will fit a Towbar for you in that area.
BTW have you considered (or priced up) roof-bars and a bike carrier. Apart from the hassle of having to lift the bike up onto the roof it should come in a lot cheaper than the towbar. If it's a lightweight road bike we're talking about it's definitely an option to think about.

Thanks, I will try the place in killarney. If I go with anything I will stick with the hitch as I have the Bike rack already from a previous car, very secure too. I have only got one quote but I am thinking that installing a hitch might be one of those jobs that is expensive.
