Yes but you can now watch them back. That wasn't the case previously. They were behind paywall.

    To write something positive….

I’m still loving the morning show. I’d be lost without it. Great way to recap on and summarize the day’s sporting news which I don’t have time generally to follow. Perfect time for me personally cos I’m on the way to work.

Football Pod is always brilliant, surely one of the best sports podcasts out there. Hurling Pod can be good at times. Certain soccer sections can be very good, Nathan’s coverage of the national team is great.

Overall, i like my OTB subscription.

There is some garbage on there, like the soccer betting one or the cash machine, but plenty to choose from. I’m not a rugby fan, nor do I hate it, but I immediately turnoff when Quinlan comes on.

Have noticed a few different segments back on YouTube, to view anytime. I was just watching a review of the Ireland match last night from the breakfast show. Well, a few minutes of it anyway. I can't tolerate Boohig for too long

Not a great look for OTB to have people like this as contributors.

I'm all for redemption but the fact him and his team have not even taken ownership of what is pretty self evident, I.e dangerous and wreckless behaviour risking the lives of others is very unsatisfactory.

In a shocking turn of events, I agree with you.

    Copying from.the article:

'For a drink driving prosecution to succeed there must be proof that the driving took place within the three hours prior to when the alcohol test is performed'

That in itself is enough of a reason to make dashcams a legal requirement

Nash also got off a dangerous driving charge recently too.

I'm sure he is guilty as sin of both. All it shows is he has good solicitors.

As someone who has lost 2 members of my own family in a road traffic collision I have no time for pr1cks like Nash who endanger innocent people

He mentions on the slot the odd time that he's based in London now. Wish him luck if he's genuinely trying to grow and learn from mistakes but I do find it strange that a show which prides itself on social justice doesn't seem to have any issues with his behaviour.

Nash hasn’t been on in the last week, and they often have him on to preview Limerick games.

Maybe they’ve dropped him, time will tell

Thinking same. No hurling slot last Monday i think? Jamesie o c and seamus hickey tonight. Id say he's been cancelled

what dollar are the presenters likely to be on?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 5,614 ✭✭✭keeponhurling

well, they have the hurling pod with Skehill and Murphy.

They also had Ryan O’Dwyer on with Sarah Donavan.

And as you say, Hickey and Jamesie.

They’re fairly well covered for hurling , if they stop with Nash

Plus Richie Hogan on Thursdays. Doubt Nash will re-appear

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 184 ✭✭cudsy1

I'm pretty sure they had nash mondays and Hogan Thursdays locked in since end of league, think it was similar last season maybe with jamesie o c on with Hogan sometimes

    Gilesie out

End of an era. Hope he walked rather than was pushed even though its time to go.

Part of the soundtrack of my experience watching sport.

It's for the best. Legend in his time on and off the pitch but he has struggled to keep up with the modern game recently if we're all being honest. Best go out on top in any walk of life.

I did enjoy his section but it'd morphed into listening your Grandad, he is 84 after all. Now I don't mean this in a bad way as I liked hearing about him talking about the game back in his day and how it was different to todays.

He really got them out of a situation during Covid with all his best of shows.

I'm sure Ger and the lads realised Gilesey wasn't as sharp as he was-particularly in the last few years.Agree it's for the best.

Sad to see him go though-real end of an era.

Him,Bill and Dunphy were part of those memorable football memories growing up.

Trans in sport debate at the moment as part of a sit down with the Emerald Warriors gay rugby club.

Pretty one sided stuff. Lesbian has played vs men before and seems to think that it's more about "technique" vs physical advantages.

Zero push back or challenge from Eoin. Puff peace excuse the pun

Haven't heard it but that's extraordinary if they are still trotting out this absolute nonsense.

. World Rugby has been very clear about this and it's dangerous and just wrong to suggest that physical advantage isn't a massive factor- I can't believe this shyte is still being propagated.

Male biology needs to be excluded from women's sports and that's for safety and fairness reasons.

Mod: If you would like a general discussion about trans women competing with women in sport there is a thread for this in Current Affairs/IMHO. Please do not continue this discussion here. I'd recommend reading the forum charter before posting in that thread too.

This might seem pedantic but on the sports news bulletins on OTB today there was a few references to "Wimbleton". Surely that's elementary stuff for a sport journalist
