    Hi,

Don't have much experience with the buses but assuming you're in the city centre is the following more or less right?

    (1) Get 304 bus from Sarsfield Street to the hospital.
    (2) The service (does it have a route no.?) to the racecourse where the vaccination centre now is should come eventually.

Anyone know how frequent the service is?

    Thanks.

The bus is numbered 304s and runs every 20mins from outside the hospital. The digital display will tell you when it's due. Got it the other day and its handy.

Could they purchase a Limerick City Redzone ticket for €4.80 or is the vaccination centre excluded from that?

Day saver is valid to the racecourse. It's worth it as you have 4 bus journeys to get in and back. OP where abouts are you travelling from? The 301 from Westbury and the 304a from Annacotty both pass the hospital.

Walking in from the Ennis road northside through Sarsfield bridge.

The day saver does sound like a good option given as you've pointed out its a min of 4 journeys.

Wonder why they didn't keep the departures at Colbert station which is a good spot in the middle of the city.

Probably because of the every 20 minute departure times. They'd need twice as many buses to do that from the station, whereas they can do it with just two from the hospital.
