Where to buy Huawei laptop?

I am pretty much on the verge of buying:

HUAWEI MateBook D 14 Laptop, Full View 1080P FHD Ultrabook PC- (Intel Core i5-10210U, Multi-screen Collaboration, Fingerprint Reader, 16 GB RAM, 512 GB SSD, Windows 10 Home).

Are there sellers in Ireland? I have to pay import fees on Amazon.

you don't have have to pay import fees on amazon - that's just Irish VAT - same at it always was with buying from Amazon UK into Ireland - just call it import fees now after Brexit.

they take off UK VAT from the price and add Irish VAT

don't be scared by a name change.

My max budget is €800.

I saw review on YouTube about Acer swift and felt the chassis is "flimsy". Correct me if i am wrong.

Thanks so much for the links. I have been searching for Swift 5 i5. I just realised it's Swift 3.

This doesn't have a dedicated graphics card. Would you please recommend one with a dedicated graphic card?

the integrated graphics in the new 11th gen i5 in the acer are a big uplift -> is as good as an mx350 card and runs really well in that acer swift 3 due to a high power level (28W)

it's actually quite impressive - go to the games and benchmark section in this review

unless you are going for a full gaming laptop (much bigger, heavier and plastic and more expensive) this will easily do

the swift 3 i5 11th gen is my recommendation

much better value than swift 5.

the acer swift 3 is a durable all-metal case/chassis laptop at 1.2kg

that's a VERY LIGHT LAPTOP and way lighter than the matebook for example.

Just saw a laptop on prime deal today. It's 50% off.

Is it worth it? I am using Samsung Galaxy always. Either this or Acer Swift 3 i5 11th Gen.

big leap from 10th gen to 11th intel cpus

nobody bought one of those at the "old price"

the build quality looks nice and has a high res screen

if that's what you're after and not so much performance go for it

on the 15 can possibly add ram and extra storage from reviews

I went to Currys and Harvey Norman today to see the screen resolution and built quality of acer, asus, Huawei, HP, etc. Not happy with Acer, Asus, Dell, etc.

I found Huawei matebook and HP Envy has this glossy gorilla screen type display and loved them. Also, touch screen laptops have a similar appearance. It's just a personal preference. Could you tell me what's the name of this type of display?

So I am back to square one now.

probably not the updated acer you saw - the models with the 11th gen cpu have a new better quality screen.

displays are usually matte or glossy finish

it's more important to have a good brightness and colour-accuracy over one or other of those types of finish imo

Yes, I saw it yesterday. The only issue is it's AMD and not intel. I felt AMD is not as good as intel. Correct me if I am wrong.
Is there a touchscreen display?

Simply put, the Ryzen 5 4600H is punching well above its class, often matching or beating Intel’s Core i7 processors, especially the Core i7-10750H.

and that's an i7 H cpu, not some weedy mobile edition

I have finally ordered the Huawei matebook 14, with AMD Ryzen 5 4600H. It will arrive on Monday.

There were few reviews suggesting bleeding backlight on the edges of the screen. Hopefully it won't be an issue.
