Secondhand BMW R1200GS

    I'm thinking of buying a 2014-2015 r1200gs. I've had lots of boxers (1100, 1150 and pre liquid-cooled 1200) but never a 1200LC.

    Has anyone got any info on what to look out for in particular?

    How reliable is the ESA for example? It would be big bucks to put right if it went wrong I'd imagine.

    Had a 14 reg one good bike but had two faults the paint flaked off the engine and previous owner got the engine replaced under warranty the rear esa shock failed at approx 20k got it fixed on exchange for about 300 bmw wanted 1600 for a new one. Apparently the 13 model had a flywheel issue in addition Common problems I was told by 2 shops.
