Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Wrong end of the country :). I just checked, it's the crown of Saint Edward the Martyr.

    I like both.

    Suffolk is nice and neat.

but Jersey has a crown AND lions. although I'm not really sure about the red X, it's not very welcoming.

sooooo, I think I'm gonna go with Suffolk

Wiki has a page for each of the flags for anyone who wants more. Just checked a few that are featured so far and what surprises me most is how recent most of these designs are. The oldest of the UK ones that I've checked only goes back to 1988.
That's because England has only existed a few years, since they voted to leave the United States of Europe and have their own sovereignty :p

Hampshire - I like the colour scheme and images. Whereas that life buoy on the Skye flag is confusing being neither in front of or behind the post.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,835 ✭✭✭ari101

Oh both of these are interesting...
Isle of Skye - Not sure if they intend for me to see a ships wheel with the boat in the corner and circle over cross but it works nicely.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 11,546 ✭✭✭✭Electric Nitwit

Isle of Skye by a mile!

The circle weaving around the cross is clever, the colours are good and the boat is a great little flourish

    Isle of Skye.
I like the color combination, the ship on the top corner and the circle that goes from back to front

    Isle of Skye

Without a doubt, love the interlocking ring and cross, and then there's like a Viking ship in the corner?

All hail our new Hampshire overlords!

Isle of Skye is the one to beat so far for me so I will go there, a lovely blend of colours and the interwining circle and cross is a nice touch

Am honestly surprised the love Skye is getting. I really don't see it.

Skye is a cracker. First genuine contender for me. The boat is great and I like the ring too

Spent a few months living in Hampshire about 10 years ago, my only consolation is that my vote wouldn't have mattered.

Staffordshire because it has a Staffordshire knot on it.

I thought like that about the Jersey flag lions too. Wasn't sure they were even lions. I zoomed in because they looked so anorexic :pac:

Sark - I don't mind freaky lions :D just too much yellow on the other one

Shetland - its a bit plain but the other one looks like a label from a bottle off bbq sauce. and I hate bbq sauce so..

For the angry looking Hereford cow

Herefordshire because it's got a bull's head on it and Shetland is quite boring.
