    Hi,

Looking for advice on a easy day runner. Around 40 miles or 60km of easy runs per week and one long run up to 13 mile or 20km or so. Currently running in Nike Pegasus 36 the reviews of the 37 weren't great so not sure about the 38. Something with 10mm to 8mm drop is what I usually run in. I wasn't a fan of the NB 1080 v9 because of the heel not sure how the newer models compare. Also not a fan of the Brooks Ghost or Glycerin.

Hoka Clifton 7 seems to be the choice for an easy day only shoe with the online reviewers, especially now that the 8 is out (and it’s not a better shoe), there’s good discounts on the 7.

Nike Invincible I find to be a great cushion runner.

Thanks. Personally I find the higher arch an issue on the invincible and the "rocker" very unnatural. I'm a mid foot striker I think the invincible is more suitable to heel strikers

Thanks I'll definitely look into these. A quick look at the reviews and they look good. I never thought about Hoka One One before as I thought they were mainly for trail running.

Has anyone any experience in the Ascis Nimbus or Novablast? I probably haven't worn ascis since 2012:)

I've just ordered a pair of Saucony Triumphs for this very purpose. I had a pair last year and they were ridiculously comfortable for the slower, easier stuff. They are quite a heavy shoe but I don't mind that. I've since went through the Mizuno Wave Rider and the Nike React Miler as a daily trainer but despite being decent shoes neither come close in terms of comfort.

I recently changed to the Saucony Triumph 18 as my easy run shoe. I’ve about 100 miles in them and I’m very happy with them. I had been using Nike Pegasus for a number of years for easy days, but I wanted something with more cushioning. I was picking up a few injuries/niggles and I think it was partly due to the Pegasus 37 I was previously wearing. I got them on all tricks down from €170-€142. From a comfort point of view for easy runs, they are ideal. As Sandwell said they are a bit heavy, but that shouldn’t matter as they are for easy days.

I should probably have mentioned that I got the Triumph 18 for €105 here as it's a pretty good price for them. Still available in most sizes.

Anyone running in the New Balance Fuelcell Rebel V2 for easy days? Reviews say it's a good light versatile runner?

I bought a pair on a big discount from 365rider last night for my easy runs.
    €102, down from €140.
They run small apparently, so I went a half size up

I saw that price drop too. Let me know what you think of them please.

    Floatride Forever Energy 3

Reebok (made by Adidas who own the brand)

if you don't have very wide feet you could go down a 1/2 size with these probably

I'm on my 2nd pair of Novablasts. I love them, they have a lot of cushioning if that's what you are looking for. I use them for a lot of my runs. I know they are reduced on a lot of sites because the Novablast 2 are being launched 1st of July, just in time for me needing a new pair:)
